Welcome to St Columba's Catholic Primary School
In the footsteps of Jesus, and based on Catholic teachings, St COlumba's Catholic School will provide a holistic education for all students.
Kia ora, I am Gareth Duncan, Principal, and it is a privilege to be at St Columba’s Catholic School which was founded by the Sisters of the Mission in Hamilton. It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to lead the St Columba's learning community and to walk in the footsteps of Jesus serving our children and parish community.
As a Catholic community, we are very proud of our history and heritage and the Special Catholic Character of our school which is expressed through the students, the teachers and the wider school community, living and teaching the Gospel Values.
Communication is a key to ensuring the school and parents work in a partnership to get the best possible learning outcomes and I look forward to working with you throughout the term in whatever capacity you are able. I would invite you to take the time to attend as many events as possible throughout the term and to participate and learn about the educational opportunities and experiences available to you and your child.
On behalf of our supportive BOT, PTFA and staff, I extend a warm welcome to you all.
God Bless you all
The St Columba’s Catholic School Board of Trustees wishes to advise that due to many year levels being full we will only be accepting applications for enrolment for New Entrants and Year 6 students for the remainder of 2018.
We currently have enrolments across most year levels for 2019. Preference criteria will apply (see link below for further information). This is in line with the State Integration Agreement and due to the high demand for placements.
Parents of students wishing to enrol for 2019 or beyond must complete an application to enrol form which is downloadable from this website. This needs to be accompanied by a preference card signed by either of our Parish Priests. These applications to enrol must be received at the school office in order to be considered for placement.
Applicants must meet the criteria outlined in the school’s enrolment policy. There are limited spaces available and no guarantees can be given that places will be available.
